SEOUL, Nov. 3, 2026 ― LG Electronics (LG) is launching a new series on LG Gallery+, its art content service for LG TVs1, that celebrates art and visual culture shaped by the places where they come from. Beginning with the Korea collection, the series brings distinctive local perspectives into the home, inviting audiences to discover the stories, aesthetics and creative traditions that give each region its unique character.
As the first installment in the Korea collection, K-Heritage Collection comes with 21 digital artworks inspired by the royal culture of Korea’s Joseon dynasty (1392-1897): Season 1 ― Joseon Royal Court Series, features Joseon-era palace architecture, royal paintings, ceramics and traditional artifacts.
Exploring Korea’s Royal Heritage
The collection features dynamic media art videos that provide a real sense of the architecture and atmosphere that define Korea’s historic royal palaces. Into the Throne Hall takes viewers through the interior of Geunjeongjeon Hall at Gyeongbokgung Palace, highlighting its intricate dancheong (traditional decorative painting), ceilings and pillars. Encouraging both reflection and wonder, Between Moon and Water captures nighttime views of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and the surrounding landscape. Together, these works bring the timeless beauty and otherworldly tranquility of Joseon-era palaces into the home.
The collection also includes traditional Korean royal paintings reinterpreted as digital art, including Ilwolobongdo (Sun, Moon and Five Peaks), Morando (peony paintings) and Gunando (paintings of flocks of wild geese). Other works center on traditional Korean artifacts, such as white porcelain moon jars, Buncheong ware, blue-and-white porcelain, and state seals (guksae). Through LG Gallery+, users can explore the cultural treasures and artistic traditions of the Joseon period and gain a greater appreciation for the innovation and mastery of the artisans who created them.
The K-Heritage Collection was developed in collaboration with three companies specializing in digital content and technology. WIPCO, a Korean digital twin company, supported production using its digital assets, while HEDIT of Heritage LAB, which focuses on technology-integrated content, led planning and creation. ELFACTORY, an art technology company, was responsible for platform integration and distribution.
Expanding Access to Art Through LG Gallery+
Beyond this captivating new collection, LG continues to expand the array of high-quality art available through LG Gallery+ by collaborating with major cultural institutions worldwide, including the National Gallery in London, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul.
LG also partnered with art platforms such as Saatchi Art to offer a diverse array of contemporary work from both celebrated and up-and-coming creators. LG Gallery+, the home for art on LG TVs, provides access to over 5,000 individual pieces spanning classical and modern paintings and sculpture, game illustrations and nature photography. LG Gallery+ complements LG Art TV’s line-up2, which includes the LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV, LG OLED evo G6 and LG Gallery TV.
“Art can offer a unique window into a place, its history, creativity and identity,” said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “Beginning with Korea, we want LG Gallery+ to help people discover distinctive artistic perspectives from different parts of the world in their everyday living spaces. As the series grows, we look forward to working with local partners to bring more of these stories and creative traditions to audiences globally.
